Reception

Late check-out is possible, subject to availability and advance request at the Hotel Reception, the day before departure. There may be an extra charge associated, depending on the time of departure.
Check-in
Check-in will only be done with the reservation’s holder, who will have in his possession all passports and/or identification documents of the guests of the reservation.
In compliance with the Portuguese Law, it is necessary the presentation of an official identification document (Passport, Identification card) of each person (adults, children, babies) at check-in. Failing to do so, the check-in won’t be able to follow through and the cancellation policy will still be applicable.
Online Payments
- All Credit and Debit card transactions are debited at the point of purchase.
- Please note that your credit card will directly be charged at the moment of transaction.
- Payment can be made via our secure check out pages using your credit or debit card. Your card will be debited at the moment you place your order and receive confirmation
Payments & Reservation Conditions
Payment can be done through debit to a credit card (Visa or Mastercard with 3D secure active) or through
bank transfer.
In case of a pre-payment with a Credit Card to guarantee the booking, it is necessary to present that credit card at check-in. Failing to do so, it is obligatory to do a new payment in the same amount (credit card or cash), by cancelling the previous payment debited in the informed credit card.
If you need to add a VAT number to the invoice of the prepayment, you must inform us at the time of making the booking.

Cancellations received up to 3 days before the date of arrival at the hotel will not have associated costs;
For cancellations received 2 days or less from the date of arrival at the hotel, VidaMar Resort Hotel Algarve reserves the right to charge 25% of the total amount of the stay; When there is no notification of cancellation and in case of no-show on the day of arrival, VidaMar Resort Hotel Algarve reserves the right to charge the 50% of the total amount of the stay.
Payment policy:
No deposit will be charged, the payment of 100% of the stay will be charged upon check-in.
Packages:
Applies to all packages the deposit and cancellation policies of the reserved rate, except Golf Packages, for which 100% deposit is required within 21 days before the arrival date; cancellations received up to 21 days before the arrival date; cancellations received up to 21 days before arrival at the hotel will not have associated costs; after this period, VidaMar Resort Hotel Algarve reserves teh right to charge 100% of the total cost of the stay.

No-Show, Same Day Cancellation, and Early Departure
In case of a no-show on the scheduled arrival date, or if the cancellation occurs on the day of arrival, or for unused nights in case of early departure, VidaMar Hotels & Resorts — Algarve reserves the right to charge 75% of the total stay or unused nights, except from November to May (excluding Easter, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve) and October, during which there will be a 50% penalty of the total stay.
Non-Refundable Rate
Cancellation, No-Show, and Early Departure
In cases of cancellation, no-show on the check-in date, or early departure, the payment made is non-refundable. Name changes are not allowed, but it is possible to reschedule the stay once, up to 7 days before check-in, at the same or a higher price. A new charge will only be made if there is a price difference between the new and the original dates.
Guarantee Deposit
Standard Rate
- For stays from November to May (excluding Easter, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve) and October, no advance deposit is required; the total reservation amount will be requested at check-in, and only the credit card details of the reservation holder will be needed as a guarantee.
- For stays during Christmas (12/24-12/25), New Year’s Eve (12/29-12/31), Easter, June, and September, 75% of the total reservation amount is due and must be paid up to 4 days before the arrival date.
- For stays from July to September, 75% of the total reservation amount must be paid up to 9 days before arrival.
Non-Refundable Rate
To guarantee and confirm the reservation, 100% of the total payment will be required. The credit card used for the reservation payment may be requested during check-in for validation.
Tourist Tax
Regulation 488/2024, published in the Official Gazette on 04/30/2024, stipulates the implementation of a tourist tax of €2.00 per night, starting on May 21st, 2024, during the high season period in the Municipality of Albufeira.
According to these guidelines, the tax must be paid at the resort upon check-in, between April 1st and October 31st, and applies for a maximum of seven consecutive nights to all guests aged 13 or older.
Children`s Policy
Children are very welcome at VidaMar Hotels & Resorts — Algarve!
The maximum capacity of a double room is 2 adults and 2 children from 0 to 11 years old (inclusive) or 2 adults and 2 teenagers from 12 to 15 years old (inclusive). Babies count towards the maximum capacity and can be accommodated in cribs at no extra cost. Children aged 16 and older are considered adults. To see the total price and occupancy information, please add the number of children and their ages to your search.

Cleaning services
Room/suite cleaning is performed daily. VidaMar Hotels & Resorts — Algarve has adopted a sustainable policy, allowing you to decide when you want your towels and bed linen changed. However, towels and bed linen will be changed every 3 days. Daily cleaning will occur within the scheduled hours.
Meals
Breakfast
The included breakfast is served in a buffet (self-service) format at the Ocean Restaurant, with the option to order some hot dishes, plated on the spot at the show cooking station, according to the daily available options.
Lunch
Available at the Sunset Restaurant in an à la carte format. There is also a takeaway option in disposable eco-friendly boxes.
Dinner
Ocean Restaurant: Buffet. Starters and desserts; a selection of hot dishes and sides, with the possibility of some dishes being plated on the spot, according to the guest’s request – service provided at the show cooking station(s).
Special Services for Restaurants and Bars
VidaMar Resort Hotel Algarve provides a choice of food and drinks for children and babies in their restaurants. The Hotel also provides options for vegetarians Guests and Guests with dietary restrictions.
However, if any vegetarian Guest or a Guest with special dietary needs wishes to have a more elaborate or specific dishes, the Hotel will be glad to meet their expectations, at an additional cost and according to the availability of service.
On the other hand, due to legal Food Safety and Hygiene reasons, we do not store any kind of food or beverage brought in by Guests into the Hotel.
Dress Code
Please note that there is a Dress Code in place in all public areas of the Hotel, which will be reminded and reinforced, especially in the restaurants and bars.
Online Occupation/Reservations
If the algarve.vidamarresorts.com Online Reservations system available on the respective site is used, the terms and conditions relating to availability, prices and cancellations apply to each room price indicated and the user should carefully read the details provided regarding charges before completing the reservation process. Any special needs should be communicated while making the reservations, although a response to these is not guaranteed.
“Prices from”
The prices denominated by “Prices From” in the hotels presentation list, are the lowest price available, per night, per person, for the respective unit (hotel) up to the end of the current year and therefore, there is no guarantee of this price’s availability every time a research in done in our reservations system (variable price depending on research date). Because these are already the lowest available rates, which may therefore include the promotional campaigns, no added discounts are applicable.
Dynamic Pricing
Our prices are dynamic, varying according to supply and demand and without prior notice. The applied price will be the agreed-upon and accepted value at the time of booking, with no refunds or additional charges due to price fluctuations.
Promotions and Offers
algarve.vidamarresorts.com may make information available on the site related to specific services, offers or promotions that are occurring. Such services, offers or promotions will be subject to the specific terms, conditions and restrictions found on the site associated with these same services, offers and promotions.
General
The user is not permitted relinquishment, sublicensing or transference or any other form of any of their rights stipulated in compliance with these Terms and Conditions. If any clause contained in these Terms and Conditions is determined invalid by a qualified court of law, the invalidity of this clause will not affect the validity of the other clauses included in these Terms and Conditions, which will remain in full force and effect. The non-execution by one of the parties of any right or expedient in compliance with these Terms and Conditions does not constitute a renunciation of this right or expedient.
